Let's KO cancer!
I'm stepping into the boxing ring to fight against ROS1+ Lung Cancer. Help me get there by donating to my fight fund.
Kim Harvey, known to me as Aunt Kimmy, was diagnosed with Stage 4 ROS1+ Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer in September of 2020. Suddenly, and after always having a healthy and smoke-free lifestyle, she was going to have to fight this disease for the rest of her life. A rare disease at that; the ROS1+ gene occurs in approximately 2% of non-small cell lung cancers. Aunt Kimmy is now over two years into her battle and has faced it head-on with an inspiring amount of resilience and strength. So inspiring that I want to do what I can to fight alongside her.
That's why I'm gloving up to train for and compete in Haymakers for Hope: Rumble in the Rockies V on June 14, 2023 in Denver, Colorado. H4H is a USA Boxing sanctioned charity boxing event to raise funds for cancer research, care, and awareness. In order to step in the ring I need to raise $7500. The organization I've chosen as the beneficiary of all proceeds from that is The ROS1ders, a community of ROS1+ cancer patients and caregivers of which my Aunt Kimmy is apart of.
