Despite being a relatively healthy 26-year-old, my world was turned upside down when I was diagnosed with stage 4 ROS1+ lung cancer in 2022. Initial scans showed the cancer had spread everywhere, across both of my lungs, my spine and pelvis, heck, not even my noggin was spared. Add in multiple pulmonary embolisms, an infected heart clot, fluid in my lungs and heart, sepsis —it's no surprise doctors didn't think I'd make it past three months. But alas, I'm still kickin' 2.5 years later!
While my current treatment has afforded me stability these past few years, it's only a matter of time before my body stops responding (TKI drugs keep the cancer at bay, there is no "cure" for stage four lung cancer). That's why I'm partnering up with The ROS1ders to support patient-partnered research into our disease. Your girl just desperately wants to make it to her 30s, okay?!

WHY DONATE NOW?
Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of ROS1der Utku & Natsuki Zihnioglu, all donations received between October 20 and December 20 will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $100,000. This means your donation has TWICE the impact in accelerating ROS1+ cancer research.
100% of funds raised will go straight toward continuing our ROS1+ cancer models, conducting international ROS1 research roundtables, and an annual seed grant program for breakthrough research into our disease. Read more under the "Our Research" tab here: https://www.theros1ders.org/
DREA X ROS1DERS FUNDRAISING POP UPS:
-NOV. 15: Plant and bake sale at Imagine Museum's Friday night market from 5pm to 9pm.
-NOV. 17: Small brunch gala for friends and family.
-NOV. 24: Plant and bake sale at Vertical Ventures from 10am until we're sold out.
-NOV. 24 - DEC. 4: Florida-themed care packages featuring homemade goodies available for out-of-state friends and colleagues (more info on my Instagram @localghoulmoms). The packages including a pinned critter, an original art print, a ~thicc~ gator candle, a sticker of Paynes Prairie and citrus granola made by yours truly are going for a suggested donation of $100. Happy to do a smaller care package without the insect for whatever anyone would like to donate though. Anything helps!
