Friends and family,
As you may know, it's been almost 5 1/2 years since I was diagnosed with lung cancer. Initially, I was afraid I would not live more than a few years. Eighteen months later, I learned my stage IV cancer was ROS1-positive and that this was good news due to the treatments available. There are treatments or medicines to prolong our lives, there is no cure. More research is needed.
This month, in honor of Lung Cancer Awareness Month, I've committed to raising $1500 more this year to fund ROS1+ cancer research to better understand and treat this unique cancer. Also, thanks to a matching grant from a very generous ROS1der, every dollar donated between now and December 20th will be doubled--meaning your donation will have twice the impact!
